Apple Health access

StepStreak needs read access to Step Count and walking workouts. It never writes data to Apple Health. Access can be reviewed in the Health app or iPhone Settings. Reopen StepStreak or use Home refresh after changing permission.

Which steps count

Automatic iPhone and Apple Watch steps count. Manual Apple Health entries and steps imported by third-party apps are excluded from XP, badges, streaks, and live rankings.

Friends and invitations

Add a friend with their full username or a one-use invitation link. Invitation links expire after seven days. Repeated or duplicate friend requests are limited to prevent spam.

Local League

You choose a country or region manually; StepStreak does not request GPS. The choice is temporarily locked after a change to protect fair rankings.

Reports and blocking

Open another walker's options from a live leaderboard to report or block them. Reports are private. Blocking removes the friendship and hides both people from each other's rankings and requests. For urgent safety concerns, email support.

Username issues

StepStreak filters abusive and impersonating names. A reported username may be reset. If a safe name is blocked by mistake, send the requested username and your full StepStreak username to support.

Notifications

Friend request and milestone notifications can be changed in Profile. iPhone notification permission can be changed in Settings.

Account deletion

Open Profile > Delete account to permanently remove your StepStreak server account and social data. This does not delete information from Apple Health.
